Before using the Mystic Kyss or Versaspa Pro
- Exfoliating with a high quality scrub and/or loofah is recommended prior to using a spray tan. Removing loose, dead & dry skin cells which prevent even application of sunless solution will improve and extend your results. Celsius Tannery has a specially designed Exfoliator available for purchase designed to work specifically with spray tanning.
- Upon arrival at the salon, your skin should be clean and dry. Do not apply deodorant, perfume, make-up or lotion prior to your spray tan experience. It is also recommended you shave prior to your spray tan to extend your results.
- For best results, wear loose, dark clothing.
- Remove jewelry prior to your spray tan experience for even application.
After using the Mystic Kyss or Versaspa Pro
- Do not moisturize or touch the skin immediately following your spray tan session.
- Do not shower for at least 6-8 hours.
- Avoid activities that cause perspiration.
- After your first shower, pat dry & moisturize.
Maintaining the Mystic Kyss or Versaspa Pro
- Celsius Tannery has enhancements products available that will extend the life of you tan & allow for necessary touch ups.
- Avoid heavy exfoliants.
- Avoid prolonged time in water or pools.
- Moisturize often.
VERSASPA PRO FAQs
What should I wear?
Most people choose to wear nothing at all. The room is completely private, you are welcome to do what you are most comfortable with. If you plan to wear a bathing suit, select a dark suit to avoid staining. The solution is water soluble and will wash out in cold water.
When should I shower?
It is recommended you wait at least 6-8 hours prior to showering, swimming, perspiring, etc… to allow your color to fully develop & to avoid uneven results. Color will continue to develop for up to 12 hours. It is also recommended to avoid heavily chlorinated water for best results.
How many times do I need to use Celsius S.P.A.?
You will obtain a tan after just one session, but you may elect for additional sessions or traditional tanning to obtain your desired color. Once you obtain your desired color, only weekly sessions will be needed to maintain it.
Can I tan in tanning beds or in the sun after using the Celsius S.P.A.?
Yes. There is nothing in the Celsius S.P.A. solution that would prevent you from obtaining a natural tan. Many clients use tanning beds in conjunction with the Versaspa Pro for enhanced color. But remember, the Versaspa Pro does not provide any sunburn protection.
What if I have fair skin? Can I use the Celsius S.P.A.?
Absolutely, the Versaspa Pro was designed for those who want color but can’t or don’t want to tan conventionally.
Will it turn me orange or streaky?
No. Some sunless tanning products in the past caused an unnatural orange color. Advances in technology and application techniques have eliminated those woes and provide the “alternate tan” available today.
